Canon 70D AF Test

The new Canon 70D came in to our Rental Departments recently, and we could not help but to test out the new AF system! We put the camera through a quick but difficult scenario, and the camera performed surprisingly well! The tight shots may have a bit of rolling shutter issues, but this is inherent in DSLR’s and could also be easily fixed in post.

Ultimately we do not want to sit on one side of the fence or the other, but this camera is impressive and definitely worth taking a look at, especially if you are an ENG style camera owner/operator.

If you are in the Cleveland, Cincinnati, or Chicago areas stop by a Dodd Camera to take one for a test drive today! Equipment used in the making of this video, all available in the various Dodd Rental Departments: Canon 70D, Canon 6D, Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L II, Canon 16-35 f/2.8 L, Romans Cine Gear Slider Dolly w/ Hi-Hats, Romans Cine Gear prototype rail system, O’Connor 1030D tripod head, (2) LitePanel 1×1 Bi-Color Flood LED’s, Lowel Prime 200 LED (daylight), Sennheiser EW112 lavalier system, Roland R26 recorder, and all the wonderful equipment you see sliding by in the shots.
